I can not say enough good things about this little book. In the critical care nursing arena this book is very well known. It has been used by critical care nurses since the early 80's. It is THE go to book of facts you must need to know. Easy to look up information your looking for, divided in sections by systems and medication information with drip titration tables, IVP rates, conversions like weight and temperature and so much more. I also bought the add on section of cardiovascular surgical recovery. This book is a bit pricey but worth a million dollars to have critical information at your finger tips when you need it fast. My ONLY con is: I wish the pages were a bit more sturdy. I've had to painstakingly place those little hole reinforcers on the chapters I use the most to prevent the pages from pulling out. The print is very small, but it was done this way to allow for it to Fit in your lab coat pocket. Every critical care nurse, new or seasoned, will benefit from this amazing book. It was worth every penny!!!
I love this as a reference tool for work and for teaching. Only thing I have to say is that it came in a navy blue binder which I wasn't expecting. Not a big deal, but you should say that in the description if it's going to come that way. Otherwise it's great!
Awesome reference guide for new & experienced ER RNs. Durable binder & metal rings. It's nearly organized with provided dividers. I would just prefer if the sheets of paper were just a bit thicker, they are just really thin-only a tad thicker than traditional Bible pages
Not very user friendly. Wish it was easier to find info you wanted. Meds are organized oddly

I had purchased another ACLS ebook for my recertification exam and requested a refund BUT this guide is a keeper! I really appreciate that it is clear - accurate and to the point. It CLEARLY tells me what the 2011 changes are. I also plan to get the actual Aha guide as well, since it is a mandatory resource to take the exam( per my instructor). Yet this ebook is a great cheat sheet. Thanks for developing this for the Kindle!
This book is completely useless. I am a healthcare provider and already have my acls certification. I bought this book to simply review the guidelines and am very disappointed. The book does not list the causes for any of the scenaris and subsequently does not list underlying disorders that need to be addressed to correct the rhythms. It goes into suggesting treatment options way beyond providing life support but rather goes into long term critical care management. For example, it does not even mention MI and its treatment but goes in depth explaining the induction of therapeutic hypothermia. I only bought this book because there is no kindle version of the official guidelines and feel like I've wasted my time even reading it.
Nice and easy way to review ACLS & BLS. Nice reference for medications and when to shock and when not to shock. Down and dirty with no frills. Exactly what I've been looking for!Now I will be able to continue recording for codes but with a lot more self confidence, knowing for certain what medications can be given when while everyone is demanding answers during rapid-fire situations.Thank you, Kathy White! This will be a much-read reference... best book I've bought all year.
